Something I like to do when something doesn’t go as plan is to ask myself, “How is this better?”, “How is this even better than the original.”, “What can we learn from this, for the future?”
Basically it’s looking at the bright side.
Often times you can spin any negative to a positive or a learning opportunity…
Today I took my son to his first soccer practice, we were late. By the time we got there (30 mins later, I got a little lost) there was no-one to be found. (maybe it got cancelled?)
Instead of getting upset, my son and I just had soccer practice by ourselves. It was fun, and he probably learned more (how to not use his hands) with me than he would of in group session.
It was fun. It was awesome, and just one more example of making lemonade out of lemons.
